In the game tonight if Siena can get past Ohio then it would be the No. 1-seeded Louisville will be waiting in the NCAA Tournament second round. The Cardinals, the tournament’s top overall seed, ran away from Morehead State in the second half and have won by 74-54.
The Louisville middle Samardo Samuels was the lead of the team with 15 points. The Cardinals frontcourt was central, as Terrence Williams made 13 and Earl Clark 12.
The Cardinals, champions of the Big East, shot 58 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from 3-point range. Their vaunted defense limited Morehead State to just 38.5 percent shooting.
